Down in Flames goes gold
Card-based WWII strategy game from Dan Verssen to fly onto Battlefront.com this fall.
Shrapnel Games has announced that its World War II flight-strategy game, Down in Flames, has gone gold. The turn-based PC game is based on the card games from Dan Verssen Games, wherein players simulate dogfights by adjusting states, such as altitude and orientation, and using an action-reaction system to determine damage and victors. Down in Flames will be released in the next four to six weeks, and will cost $35 plus shipping and handling. It is only available through the online retailer Battlefront.com. Those eager for a taste of the action can try out the beta demo, which includes both single-player and multiplayer modes. Check it out on GameSpot DLX.
