Dragon Ball FighterZ Event Pits The Real Goku Against Vegeta
The Super Saiyan Showdown is on.
After some back-and-forth Twitter banter, the English voice actors for Dragon Ball's Goku and Vegeta will be facing off in a live Dragon Ball FighterZ match on January 25. The event will be held at the Esports Arena in Santa Clara, Calif., and will be livestreamed on YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook.
Sean Schemmel, who voices Goku, and Christopher Sabat, who voices his longtime rival Vegeta, started talking smack in a Vegeta-themed Twitter thread on January 6. It culminated in Sabat suggesting they settle the score in FighterZ. After fans and even Bandai Namco jumped on the idea, Sabat issued a more formal challenge to get the attention of anime streaming site Funimation, which decided to make the "Super Saiyan Showdown" official.
Hey @SeanSchemmel & @VoiceOfVegeta... You wanted a #SuperSaiyanShowdown?!
