Dragon Ball FighterZ Reveals New DLC Characters
Goku and Vegeta join the roster, again.
Bandai Namco has announced the next two DLC characters coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ. As usual, the news came in the latest issue of V-Jump magazine (via Gematsu), which revealed that the base forms of Goku and Vegeta will be the newest additions to the game's ever-expanding roster.
Both Goku and Vegeta's models are based on their appearances during the Saiyan Saga in Dragon Ball Z. Goku sports his original training gi, while Vegeta dons his iconic Saiyan armor (complete with his tail wrapped around his waist).
According to V-Jump, base Goku will be able to use the Super Spirit Bomb and the Kaioken technique, which will allow him to unleash a series of consecutive attacks. The latter will also amplify in power if Goku's teammates are defeated. Vegeta, meanwhile, can use his signature Galick Gun attack.
Bandai Namco hasn't announced pricing details or a release date for the new fighters, but previous DLC characters could be purchased for $5 / £4 / $7.55 AU apiece. They're also included as part of the game's $35 US / £22 / $40.95 AU season pass, which gives players access to eight DLC characters upon their release. Base Goku and Vegeta mark the fifth and sixth DLC fighters announced thus far, leaving two still to be revealed.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game will also launch for Nintendo Switch on September 28. Those who pre-order the Switch version will receive a digital Japanese copy of the rare Dragon Ball Z game Super Butoden as a bonus.
