Dragon Quest VIII coming out in November

TOKYO--According to the upcoming issue of Weekly Jump Magazine, Square Enix's Dragon Quest VIII has been officially slated for release in Japan on November 27. Prior to its release, Dragon Quest VIII will be on playable exhibit at the Tokyo Game Show next week.

While the Dragon Quest RPG series isn't popular in America, where it is known as the Dragon Warrior series, it has always been a blockbuster hit in Japan, rivaling the Final Fantasy series. It is a long-held tradition in Japan for massive lines to form in front of stores whenever a new Dragon Quest title is launched.
