Dragon's Dogma 2 Release Date Seemingly Leaked
It might be coming sooner than we thought.
According to the PEGI rating for Dragon's Dogma II, the game could be releasing on March 22, 2024.
The rating page for Dragon's Dogma II has seemingly been deleted now, but not before a screenshot was captured by Gematsu. It lists the March date for all platforms that the game will launch on, including PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Capcom announced earlier today that it would be holding a Dragon's Dogma II showcase on November 28. It will last 15 minutes, show brand new gameplay, and be presented by director Hideaki Itsuno and producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi. While Capcom has not confirmed a release date yet, it's certainly possible that it could be revealed at this showcase. However, if it isn't, then The Game Awards 2023 might be a good spot too.
One source of inspiration for Itsuno was from Grand Theft Auto V, and he said that one of his goals for Dragon Dogma II was to achieve a similarly "living world" that Rockstar had created. Dragon's Dogma II was announced in June 2022 for the first game's 10th anniversary, and there are plenty of reasons to revisit its world before the sequel comes out.
In GameSpot's Dragon's Dogma II combat preview, we said, "Dragon's Dogma II feels familiar and is very impressive to play, especially in the heat of combat when you are clinging onto large beasts."
