Bethesda Softworks has informed GameSpot News that its latest strategic and tactical combat game Dreamland will be heading to the PlayStation2 console next year. The game is currently being developed by Mythos Games, the creator of XCOM: UFO Defense and Magic & Mayhem on the PC.

Currently, not much is known about the title, but the basic storyline is that the world is facing near extinction after a 70-day war against alien invaders. Because the world's military and government forces have all been destroyed, the only hope humanity has lies in a resistance force called the Terran Liberation Army. With a limited supply of weapons, you must control this army and save the world from alien domination.

You can be assured that we'll deliver much more information on Dreamland in the near future. The game, coming to the PlayStation2 and the PC, will release in Q4 2000.
