Driveclub delayed in Japan, will miss PlayStation 4 launch in the region

I feel sorry for people who pre-ordered a PS4. Expecting to get this game for Free, then gets delayed, and now more than likely delayed again. Talk about fucking over your consumers, and when it is released will more than likely no longer be free for PS+ members, do to how much money they lost trying to even put this title out.

So if it's getting delayed there then it's most likely it'll be delayed here for the 3/3/14 release date. Hope that's not the case.

I'm still not really clear on what kind of driving experience they are aiming for. I've watched footage from E3 but everyone that plays racing games at these shows are horrible at them. It just seems odd how they've talked about the attention to detail and a love of cars but not really mentioned the handling.

If it is semi-sim I'd be interested, but all out arcade racers aren't really my thing. I'll occasionally play arcade racers, but they just don't hold my attention for very long. Basically if the handling actually resembles that of a car, even if the characteristics are exaggerated and it plays well with a wheel, I'll probably give it a try.

this game miss everything

This game is looking like a colossal failure in the making. They can't get it running at 60 fps. That is why it is delayed. (Stories from last year before the first delay were pretty clear about their struggles.)

Guess it's taking longer than expected to build Fanatec steering wheel support into the game than they figured :)

Hmmm..Well if the next release date is listed as "When its' ready", then be afraid.

Missing the launch with PS4 must be hitting the studio hard and more delays = tons more money being thrown at the product.

I suspect there were quite a few reasons for the delay, the main one possibly being the social aspect not up to scratch.

I also think visually, it was looking a bit drab - bear in mind the demo videos we've seen are probably the best levels they have to date with the rest possibly falling way behind in the beauty department.

On top of that, I'm thinking they're having loads of problems with things like framerate with a full roster of cars present - I don't think I've seen an in game video of more than 2, maybe 3 cars at any one time, which is a bit worrying but we shall see.

This thing has to do well otherwise it isn't looking good for Evolution Studios at the moment - a shame because Pacific Rift was an absolute blast.

they still have better games at their launch such as Ryu ga Gotoku Isshin and Shin Sangoku Musou with Mushouden, Drivers Club is not what they were looking forward to and many of the Japanese gamers are eager to play the FPS games also.

no racing game better than Burnout Paradise as of today.

Evolution Studios' will face chop because game DriverClub wont sell and I hope they do. Because they cant realise games on time and first time from this studio.

I cant complain because get it for Free on PS Plus.

Well, you better have something really innovative in that game, otherwise it will just look stupid...

I'm not a PS4 owner (I picked up an Xbox One), but aren't japanese gamers into those turn based RPGs more than racing games? Is Sony releasing crap for japan in their launch window as well?

I'd imagine a lot of Japanese gamers will be busy playing Mario Kart 8 to really care about Driveclub or the PS4.
