Driver heading to the big screen
Infogrames options the film and TV rights to its Driver series of games.
Infogrames has announced that it has sold off the film and TV rights to its Driver series of games to Constantin Films, though Impact Pictures will be responsible for developing the film. Driver is Infogrames' best-selling game to date, selling approximately 12 million units worldwide. "This is a great opportunity to develop the extremely cool game character of Tanner into a memorable movie figure," said Jeremy Bolt, the movie's producer. "With Tanner and Tobias Jones, we can create two very believable and iconic action-movie heroes."
Driver 3 is currently in development and will follow the adventures of undercover police officer Tanner. We'll post more on Driver 3 as it becomes available.
