Dungeons & Dragons Movie Adds Michelle Rodriguez And Justice Smith
The Fast & Furious star and Pokemon movie lead have joined Chris Pine in the fantasy film.
The upcoming Dungeons & Dragons movie has brought on two more big names. Joining Chris Pine in the fantasy film adapted from the Wizards of the Coast tabletop RPG game
Deadline had the scoop on the casting news, but there is no word yet on the characters that Rodriguez and Smith will play. In fact, the plot of the movie itself is being kept a secret for now, but it will be a fantasy film presumably featuring dungeons & dragons.
Dungeons & Dragons doesn't currently have a release date, but Deadline states that it will start production in Belfast in the first quarter of 2021. An earlier Dungeons & Dragons movie was released in 2000 starring Oscar-winner Jeremy Irons, but it was a commercial failure and was poorly received by critics.
The new D&D movie will be directed by Spider-Man: Homecoming writers Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley from a script by Michael Gilio.
