In the first of a series of videos highlighting new features in the upcoming free Enhanced Edition update, Techland showed off the Legendary levels system. Put simply, once you've fully leveled up a skill tree, you'll begin to earn experience toward your Legendary level (which can reach 250).
This is a brand-new skill tree that allows you to improve your character in various ways: You can increase your damage with various weapon types, stamina, health, and so on. Additionally, there are new player emblems, outfits, and weapons that are unlocked by reaching certain Legendary levels.
If this setup sounds familiar, it might be because it sounds extremely similar to the Paragon system introduced to Diablo III post-launch.
Dying Light is receiving a big update in February that offers improvements and changes across the board. Its release is coinciding with that of a DLC pack, The Following, and an Enhanced Edition that will include all available content for $60. For those that already own the game, a free update will be available introducing Legendary levels, graphical improvements, and quite a bit more.
