Dynasty Warriors 4 goes gold

Dynasty Warriors 4: Xtreme Legends, the latest in Koei's medieval action series, went gold today.

While not exactly a sequel--the characters are the same as those in Dynasty Warriors 4--the game will feature several new methods of play: xtreme mode, which features short, randomly generated missions; arena challenge, where players can duke it out one-on-one without bodyguards; and legend mode, which follows the original 42 warriors' adventures. Players can also use Xtreme Legends as an upgrade to power up their Dynasty Warriors 4 characters with new items and levels.

Dynasty Warriors 4: Xtreme Legends is scheduled to be released on November 4. The game's price is $29.99, and it will be available only for the PlayStation 2.
