E3 06: Konami Unveils Rengoku 2
PSP sequel to offer more weapons and collectibles, expanded multiplayer, and downloadable content.
LOS ANGELES--Konami will be using this year's E3 to show Rengoku 2 for the PlayStation Portable. The action sequel will expand on the original with more than 300 unique weapons, four-player wireless modes, and downloadable content such as maps, weapons, and items.
The game itself follows A.D.A.M., a battle android trapped in a mysterious tower filled with mechanical enemies. The first seven floors of the tower are based on each of the deadly sins, and A.D.A.M. must battle through them to reach the final, eighth floor. Enemies will leave weapons and items that can be used by A.D.A.M., and there will be more than 300 unique weapon combinations in the final game.
Rengoku 2 will also offer wireless multiplayer to people who do not own a copy of the game via the PSP's game-sharing option. The game will be playable at E3, so keep an eye on GameSpot's coveragefor further details.
