lol, i don't even think xbox users even like the FF series, or Square for that matter, they're mostly just over confident, un-inventive EA sports lovers, thats why xbox didn't do good in Japan, b/c the Japanese are the complete opposite of that.. they like baseball and thats about it, FFXI was made for the 360 solely because they thought it would be easy to fit it in that format or w/e, the graphics different between PS2 and 360 are seemless, the original xbox was like a PS1 and a half, . . . bottom line though 360 can't handle FF13. . . bill gates is not a gamer..

im up here reading these post thinking that you guys are crazy talking bout which console is better when the fact is that all of them are great and have unique qualities about them for instance playstation 3 has the blu ray and the nintendo wii has the motion senseing controller. but then as im writing i realised what does the x box 360 have thats so great its a well rounded system thats all. and to me thats a little boring. so im with my playstation boys cause i always been with playstation and i dont plan on leaving p.s kingdom hearts 2 greatest game i ever played

Many of the things you said are true, I've got to say that. But nontheless FFXIII will stay on the PS3.The only reason FFXI has a X360 port is because online is what xbox360 does best.Besides, you have to pay for it which is even worse... Even if FFXIII can run on the X360, it won't be made for it.Things are gonna happen just like they did when PS2,Xbox and GC were the best consoles.Sony will reign supreme, some retarded EA and Microsoft loving americans will play on x360(which will do terrible in Japan) and Wii will be supported by old-school fans.

Its VERY much not so, as well as faster loading times because of Mini-Dvd's, nearly every part of the GCN is twice as powerfull as the PS2's parts. And for another thing, we know nothing of the Wii specs as of yet. But i have seen some amazing footage for it, that i doubt most people have seen. Its most defintly on par with the graphics of a 360. As well as Nintendo creating many new inbuilt software(that baisclly tells what everything to do) which you will be very happy to hear about. I think that FFXIII will never ever be on the XBOX360 first of all because SE said that they were developing this game for the PS2 but they were called to make the FFVII video remake, ad for that reason they started to port FFXIII for the PS2 to the PS3 because they were colmpletely shocked and amazed by the capabilities of the PS3 the programming the graphics, etc... besides it said PS3 EXCLUSIVE, that's y I'll get a PS3

Square is doing FF13 in PS3 for two reason: 1.- PS3 play PS1 and PS2: That mean all FF series in one box. 2.- PS3 is the most powerful machine in the world for entertaiment: Square is making the White Engine to take full advantage of PS3 hardware and that mean FF13 can't run on 360 with that quality. Square don't port a poor version of FF13 for other console, but the rumor of FF 13 Hereas may be is for 360. And if all of you ask me I preffer that game on PS3.

When I was there I only saw pirated games. The only system that didnt have pirated games was the psp.

anyway, skipping all the drama... Too much Square is never Enough! gimme more. wouldn't it be cool if they offered a PS3/FFXIII bundle at some point? Hopefully it would come embossed with a symbol from the game, the way they did in Japan with the PS2/FFXI bundle.

best is a HUGE opinion. if you call redundant features of monetary destruction the best, then i guess 360 would be the best. the only reason ff:XI (i dont even want to call ff:XI a final fantasy) went to 360 was because the target market was there, it WAS xbox for online capability. and since online capability is the only thing going to microsoft 'at the moment', im hoping the 360 goes the way of the Dreamcast, because next-gen consoles will all be developed for online capability with considerable quality. and then we wont need this other version of the fascist company.

I'm still not sure what to think of the new FF13 games. The girl in the one looks a little bland compared to past designs done by Tetsuya Nomura... but then again these are only early stages. :)

I have been doing some thinking since my "first" post. I don't want FF games on the 360. Let them stay where they are. They started out on a nintendo system and evolved to the sony due to design restrictions. Now those restrictions are pretty much gone. They could very well go back to a great friendship they have with nintendo. Point is that square can make something different like when they tried their hand at shooters. Einhander is a great departure from the company that brought you final fantast. And when is this fantasy going to be "FINAL". I have always like the phantasy star series and liked what sega tried with the online aspect. They needed more traditional gameplay it seemed. Perhaps with universe they will go back to the element that made that series great but bring it forward to this generation. FF has never really evolved from a gameplay perspective. You can pretty much figure out the plot of each "new" chapter by the way the others have played. I take it back from the first post. I dont want square to make a ff game for the 360. As far as the trailer. Did anyone notice how fake it seemed? It wowed me at first but the whole battle sequence with hud was to fast to really be any type of gameplay. Sure it could have been computer controlled but even then the computer would need to calculate for the ai on the screen. Watch it again and you will see there is virtually no decision making on the part of the onscreen charecter. It was speculated by G4 that you can simply add a hud to a cinematic. In this day of cg anything is possible. I have watched the trailer for halo 3 many times as well as mgs4 and the h3 trailer looks more like in game cut scene right before the action takes back up. MGS4 was to long to really be anything of importance in actual gameplay. It reminded me of MGS2 when I saw it. MGS2 had better cinematics than it did actual gameplay. I am open to anyone who can prove me wrong.

Noxian you don't know what you're talking about. SE could release a FF game on the XBox360 and still sell millions of copies. Why, because they would sell like crazy in the U.S., U.K. and Sydney areas. SE marketers should be smart enough to know this. I'm sure the game would sell in Japan as well, but they would easily make millions selling it on the XBox360. Even more so now since the XBox360 will surpass the 5 million units sold at the end of this month. Just because the system isn't selling well in Japan, doesn't mean it's not selling well everywhere else in the world. M$ can't even keep up with the demands. Mom & Dad will walk into Best Buy or Wal-Mart and see the XBox 360 for $399 and the PS3 for $599, which one do you think they will get? Most parents won't know squat about blu-ray. They'll look at the games and the price of the systems, and then get what's cheapest. Sony is going to lose a LOT of sales because of their price. Even long time Playstation fans on these forums have said they will pass on the PS3 because of the price. LOL!! I'm still going to buy one on launch day. Sell that baby on Ebay for $1000. =oP

People are forgetting a couple of things. 1) Sony doesn't own SquareEnix. This is why you will see their games on the XBox360, Wii & DS, and why FFXI was released on the XBox360. People keep saying there will never be a FF game on XBox360. Idiots, FFXI is ON the XBox360. So never say never. 2) The lead developer for SquareEnix's FF games is now making Blue Dragon & Lost Odyssey exclusively for the XBox360. << LINK REMOVED >> 3) SquareEnix has never official said they would not develope more RPG's for the XBox360, so people who are saying it'll never happen, are clueless. Even if the XBox360 doesn't get a FF game right away for the system, we have RPG's that will never see the light of day on the PS3 anytime soon. FFXIII coming to 360 is not like HALO 3 or Zelda coming to PS3 and you know why because sony doesnt own Square -Enix wereas Microsoft do own Bungie much to the Sony fanboys upset and ofcourse Nintendo own Nintendo duh so dont make comparisons like that, I mean look at Tombraider everyone talked about that like it was only ever gonna be exclusive to Sony and Crash to to a lesser extent and look what happened with them and there just some examples. No, only about 20%, last I checked. And now there's a little more bulk with S-E's acquisition of Taito. Unless Sony buys another 30%+1, they don't hold controlling interest. Technically, they're still a third parties to each other, so they can make other calls. Only if Sony buys S-E out (making them first-party) or S-E signs a binding second-party contract will Sony be able to dictate. As for Microsoft, they're probably not making overt moves at the moment because they've become aware of the Japanese xenophobia--an American trying to intrude on a trusted Japanese name would probably cause alienation. Good thing the PS3 is getting Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. Oh wait I mean they're not. lol. Let's be honest for a moment. Oblivion is the highest rated RPG on GameSpot since Legend of Zelda on the 64. Which console is it on? Yea. I thought so. . .PS3 can keep FF. Also there's something everyone is missing. While Blue Dragon, Lost Oddessey, and Cry On are developed by Mistwalker, they're Produced by Microsoft. Meaning MS makes the games disk prints and all of that. That's why you'll not see any of those games on the PS3. (Same goes for Halo 3.) FFXIII on the other hand is developed AND produced by SE meaning Sony can't control what systems they'll release their games for. That's a major point to keep in mind. One last point. Everyone is saying "Square and Playstation belong together. Square is always a PS exclusive."

Too bad they make cliche', japanified, RPG's that lack complex plots, unique character development, and open end gaameplay. I can't tell if the FFXII main character is male or female -- Square portrays males as 5'2 asian-girl-boy looking demi humans lacking any amount of masculinity. Remember, kids, in a Square game the big black man with a machine gun for an arm can't go a certain way on a road because a small child told him so.

due to the severely different hardware i would think programming for two different consoles would be harder... frankly the development time of such a crossover won't be efficient enough and won't be as profitable as keeping it on one console...

I'm not even going to mention Gears of War, 99 Nights, and numerous other X360 exclusives which are coming out as second generation games and will almost assuredly look better than the first generation PS3 games. This sony fanboyism is rediculous. As for lion2447 please understand that when engines are developed they are developed on a PC and what is the easiest platform to port from a PC to? Its the 360 so without question it will be easier for them to develop it for the 360 without rewriting the engine significantly. Other than that I also hope that FFXIII stays exclusive to the PS3 at its price point it is going to need that MGS4 and a few other games to drive sales, and I do not want to see MS unopposed in yet another market.

There is no chance they would put FFXIII on the Xbox 360. The game was developed using the White Engine, which is an engine designed specifically to make the best use of the PS3 hardware. They would need to redesign how the game works with the hardware to get it onto the Xbox 360, which I don't think they will do.

The biggest games on the show, FFXIII and MGS4 are coming out on PS3 "exclusively" but 360 owners seem a bit bitter about it. Just be glad about what you have, if you want FFXIII save up some money for a PS3 or stop complaining. PS3 supporters could argue that Blue Dragon should be multiconsole too, but that's also not going to happen. Companies support the consoles that seem important to them and might provide them with the highest revenue. X360 is a gamble in japan and japanese companies are unwilling to invest in a game that will only sell overseas, so, japanese companies will develop more exclusive games for PS3 and Wii than X360. The same way Microsoft will get more exclusives from American developers.

they have a deal with microsoft to produce games for the 360...but theyve already said that FFXIII will be exclusive to the PS3... and the reason that many of us dont want FFXIII on the 360 is quite simple actually. they are already doing 3 parts to this series...(only 2 on the PS3) but still...if they were to put it on the 360 as well...theyd have to do both of them....and since theyd be sticking the same game on 2 systems it would be shodily done.....and would be aimed to be a plain money making game like EA does with their junk...notice they release games on multiple platforms alllll the time and they always get bad or only decent ratings...so thats why most of us (including me) dont want it on the 360..more system releases means shodily made games....and a shody Final Fantasy game would crush me along with the rest of us.
