We were able to take a brief look at Dewy's Adventure for the Wii at Konami's hacienda here at E3. Although we didn't get to spend a huge amount of time with the game, we came away impressed by the sense of cheer exuded by the game, although much of that was perhaps due to the very enthusiastic Japanese man that demoed the game for us.

In Dewy's Adventure, you control the titular character, a droplet of water that's attempting to save the forest in which he resides from the evil Don Hedron, who's corrupting the water supplies in the forest. Doing so entails moving between small, self-contained levels that offer up challenges you must surmount before being able to move along the path that's laid out for you.

Like Mercury and some other games, you don't seem to control Dewy's movement directly, instead tilting the Wii Remote to shift the world below him and letting him flow around the levels. As a droplet of water, he's capable of jumping quite high, letting him access new areas of the level, and he can also perform a hip-drop attack. In addition, shaking or moving the Remote rapidly from side to side will result in a windstorm or earthquake attack.

In addition to his standard water-droplet form, however, you can manipulate the in-game temperature to shift Dewy to either an ice or mist form. In the ice form, Dewy can spin around in a diamond-like shape, causing damage to anyone that comes in contact with him, while his mist form can charge up and release lightning bolts at enemies below you. The enemies that you encounter will often be resistant to a certain kind of damage while being weak to another, so you'll have to switch around as you proceed to find a way around them. These various powers will also be used to solve puzzles that you come across.

Dewy's Adventure is shaping up to be a family-friendly action game that relies on quick thinking. GameSpot will have more information on the game as it nears its release date in the next few months.
