E3 2018: Assassin's Creed Odyssey's First Trailer Leaps Straight Into The Action
A violent journey in the new Assassin's Creed game.
We expected to see Assassin's Creed Odyssey at Ubisoft's E3 press conference. And we were not disappointed, as Ubisoft delivered an action-packed announcement trailer for the next game in the Assassin's Creed series.
This particular trailer only focused on the male protagonist of AC Odyssey; Kassandra--your other choice of playable character--was absent. However, we got to see our hero ruefully monologue as he skillfully slew targets in the same style of the Assassin's who would succeed him. Combat seems to have the same brutal ferocity seen in Assassin's Creed Origins.
The trailer shows off the new Ancient Greece setting, but it only touches on everything Odyssey brings to the table. Ubisoft's press conference and subsequent announcements confirmed numerous special editions, an expansion of Origins' RPG systems, the return of naval combat, and confirmation of the modern-day story's continuation.
Also at E3 2018, Ubisoft announced that The Division 2 will be getting raids and gave us new trailers for both Beyond Good & Evil 2 and the next Trials game.
