E3 2018: Fallout 76 Release Date Announced For PS4, Xbox One, And PC
Coming soon.
Fallout 76 will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 14, Bethesda announced today during its E3 2018 briefing. You may be able to play sooner, however, as there will be a beta before launch. Bethesda's Todd Howard cheekily joked on stage that Bethesda games are known for having issues, so it's nice to see the developer letting fans in early to test it before launch.
Fallout 76 is a prequel to all of the previous games in the series. You play a member of Vault 76, who is now tasked with rebuilding the world as you emerge from the vault. Unlike past entries in the series, Fallout 76 is a multiplayer-focused, online-only game.

According to Bethesda, Fallout 76 is four times the size of 2015's Fallout 4. There are also new creatures, while the game--which is set in West Virginia--has six distinct regions. Each has its own style, risks, and rewards.
We'll have lots more on Fallout 76 tonight and in the coming days, so keep checking back for more. And catch up on everything you missed at the Bethesda conference.
