E3 2018: Prey Adds A Horrifying Take On Hide-And-Seek This Summer
In space, no one can hear you scream.
During Bethesda's E3 2018 press conference, it was announced that Prey is getting a multi-player update. Called Typhon Hunter, the new mode will debut Summer 2018.
Typhon Hunter is a tense game of hide-and-seek. Five gamers play as Mimics and need to use the Typhon organism's natural ability to camouflage and hide as objects within the environment. The sixth player takes on the role of Morgan Yu and has to hunt down and kill the five Mimics before they can kill Morgan. It's a tense game of cat and mouse. For players who want a truly horrifying experience, Typhon Hunter will be available in VR for a close and personal experience.
Typhon Hunter will release as a free update to the Mooncrash DLC and Prey: Digital Deluxe.
Three new modes are on the way for Prey: Story, Survival, and New Game+. Here are the official descriptions: "Story Mode, for those looking to casually experience the game's immersive narrative; Survival Mode, which will put your veteran cosmonaut to the test with hardcore hazards like oxygen levels and bleeding; and New Game +, which gives all players a whole new reason to return to Prey after they complete the game."
