E3 2018: PS4's Death Stranding Announces Two More Celebrity Stars
Lea Seydoux and Lindsay Wagner join Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, and Guillermo del Toro.
The new Death Stranding trailer released during Sony's E3 2018 briefing confirmed two new high-profile actresses have joined Hideo Kojima's mysterious PlayStation 4 game. Lea Seydoux and Lindsay Wagner will have roles in Death Stranding, and their in-game character models are based on their real-life appearance.
Seydoux (Spectre) and Wagner (The Bionic Woman) join other big names featured in the game including The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus, who plays Death Stranding's main character, as well as Hannibal star Mads Mikkelsen and Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water).
Sony's press conference offered an extended look at the game while still not revealing much about what you do in it. We again see the invisible enemies who are apparently blind. Reedus's character can be seen moving through a variety of environments before meeting up with a woman who helps him to avoid detection from the invisible monsters. He later is seen with a piece of equipment that is strapped to his back which can seemingly reveal their positions temporarily, but we remain very much in the dark about any specifics--we're really just grasping at straws to piece things together.
Death Stranding is currently in development for PlayStation 4 and PC. No release date has been announced, but keep checking back with GameSpot for more as we learn it during E3 this year.
