E3 2018: Alan Wake Dev Remedy Reveals New "P7" Game, Control
Keep control.
Sony's E3 2018 press conference showcased a bunch of new games on the way to PS4. One of those is Control, the new title from Alan Wake and Quantum Break developer Remedy. Previously codenamed P7, the game is also coming to PC and Xbox One.
The game was unveiled with a gameplay trailer you can watch above. It illustrates a strangely shifting world, with a protagonist who can seemingly fly for a short amount of time and control objects using telekinesis.
An official synopsis reads: "After a secretive agency in New York is invaded by an otherworldly threat, players will take on the role of Jesse Faden, the new Director struggling to regain Control. This sandbox-style, gameplay-driven experience built on the proprietary Northlight engine challenges players to master a combination of supernatural abilities, modifiable loadouts and reactive environments while fighting through the deep and mysterious worlds Remedy is known and loved for."
Remedy has worked exclusively with Microsoft for a number of years now, so it could be considered surprising to see the company's new game unveiled on Sony's stage. Control is to be published by 505 Games, with a vague release window of 2019.
Sony also shared brand-new The Last of Us: Part II gameplay and showed a reveal trailer for a Resident Evil 2 remake. For more, check out all the Sony E3 2018 press conference news.
