Just ahead of its E3 2019 press conference, Ubisoft had an early surprise in store for one of its games. Assassin's Creed Odyssey, which released in 2018 and has been given a steady stream of additional content since then, including a custom story creator. The update is available now in open beta on PC--but that's not the only new feature coming to the game, as a fan-favorite aspect of the previous AC game is coming later this year.
The story creator mode lets you use characters from the main game and set conditions for mission completion. You can also set up strings of dialogue using a tool similar to the one used by the actual AC Odyssey developers. The tool set looks pretty robust, and quests created in the mode are playable across all platforms. You can even create a branching narrative that can result in multiple outcomes, and the dialogue options allow you to lie.
