Square Enix E3 2019: Final Fantasy 7 Remake Gets New Trailer, Release Date
It's happening.
Update: Square Enix kicked off its E3 2019 press conference with another look at the Final Fantasy VII remake. Following an extended combat and gameplay sequence, the developer shared an extended version of the trailer first shown during the Final Fantasy concert on Sunday night. It also revealed the Final Fantasy VII remake will come on two discs, and there will be an extravagant collector's edition that costs $330 USD. The original story follows.
Square Enix's long-awaited Final Fantasy VII remake has finally gotten a release date. The game is launching exclusively for PS4 on March 3, 2020, Square Enix announced during a Final Fantasy concert ahead of its E3 2019 press conference. Alongside that piece of news, the publisher released a brand-new trailer for the much-anticipated title.
The new trailer provides a fresh look at how the classic RPG has been reimagined for PS4. The video runs for a little over a minute and, like the trailer shared last month during Sony's State of Play presentation, showcases a handful of familiar characters as well as more gameplay footage.
