E3 2019: New Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller Announced

In amongst all of the new game announcements, Microsoft also found time in its E3 2019 press conference to reveal the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. It releases on November 4 for $180, a $30 premium over the original incarnation of the Elite controller.
The new controller in Microsoft's Elite series has been re-engineered from the inside out. It promises to be the most advanced controller in the world, with adjustable-tension thumbsticks, higher precision control, shorter hair trigger locks--three this time, as opposed to the previous controller's two--a wrap around rubberized grip, and myriad ways to customize, complete with custom profiles that allow you to preset various configurations for specific games or genres.
Among other things, you'll be able to customize buttons to serve as shortcuts for voice commands. This means you can map a button to take a screenshot or record a video clip.
The controller works on both Xbox One and PC, and a new detachable charging dock, internal rechargeable battery, and 40 hours of charge time ensure you'll be able to play for longer.
Ahead of its launch later this year, you can pre-order the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller series 2 now on the Xbox website. At this point, it's unclear if the controller will also work with the newly announced Xbox Scarlet, Microsoft's next-gen console.
