Everything From EA At E3 2019: Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, Apex Legends, FIFA 20
The full scoop on EA's entire slate of E3 games.
E3 2019 is over, and EA's portion of the announcement festivities has long come and gone. The company's annual EA Play event is a two-day affair that takes place in Los Angeles during the weekend leading up to E3, but it, and the livestream dedicated to sharing fresh announcements and trailers, has concluded. Here's everything the company had to announce at E3, both during and after the stream, which you can watch a replay of above.
Rather than a standard press conference, EA hosted a three-hour livestream where it went in-depth with each of the featured games. The event started out with the proper reveal of Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, the new action game from Respawn Entertainment. The highlight of this was getting to see Jedi Fallen Order's first gameplay, but we also learned more about its story, how combat works, and just how cute your droid companion is.
We had the chance to speak with Respawn after the reveal, learning about how it brings some Bloodborne to Star Wars. We also found out Jedi Fallen Order wasn't originally a Star Wars game.
Jedi's segment was followed by the unveiling of Apex Legends' Season 2 and its new character, Wattson, as well as a new gun and a tease of more of what's to come starting in July. Battlefield V was up third, as we got a look at what's coming to the game over the next few maps and beyond--the game is headed to the Pacific Theater. There was also news regarding The Sims 4, Madden NFL 20, and FIFA 20, and even Anthem made a brief appearance.

Somewhat surprisingly, EA didn't deviate from its schedule at all--there were no unexpected game announcements or anything of the sort. In fact, the only thing that wasn't specifically on there was a brief discussion about Anthem that didn't actually reveal any new information. After the show, however, EA did confirm it's publishing several new indie games, including the new game from A Way Out developer Hazelight.
Read on for the full breakdown of everything that was at the show.

Anthem
While not on the schedule, BioWare did get a few minutes to talk about Anthem during EA Play. Specifically, the studio talked about how it has work to do on Anthem; this was less about specifics and more about generally reassuring fans that it remains committed to improving the game based on feedback. It also reiterated that the recently announced Cataclysm event test is underway on PC.
