EA Reveals Another $70 Game For PS5 And Xbox Series X, FIFA 21
EA's next $70 game on PS5 and Xbox Series X is the newest FIFA, but you can probably get it for a lot cheaper.
Electronic Arts has announced its second game for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S that will carry a $10 premium. The publisher confirmed as part of the wider next-gen announcements about FIFA 21 that the game's standalone PS5 and Xbox Series X|S edition will carry a premium price tag of $70 USD.
To be very clear, this is the standalone next-gen version of FIFA 21 aimed at people who have picked up a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S but didn't own a previous-gen console. It's more than likely that you can get FIFA 21's next-gen enhancements without spending that much money.
For people who already bought FIFA 21 on PS4 or Xbox One, they can upgrade to the next-gen edition for free until FIFA 22 launches in 2021. All progress from the FUT Club and Volta modes carry forward to the next-gen edition.

The standalone next-gen version of EA's Madden NFL 21 also costs $10 more, but this version includes various extras for Ultimate Team. EA did not say if FIFA 21's standalone next-gen edition comes with any bonuses like that. Both games launch on December 4.
FIFA 21's next-gen upgrades are extensive, covering things like strand-based hair technology. Yes, really. Check out our full rundown to see what's new and improved with FIFA 21 on the new consoles.
If you want to get the next-gen version of FIFA 21 for as little as $27, both the PS4 and Xbox One versions are on sale at GameStop this Black Friday.
