Electronic Arts has today announced that it's working on a new boxing game for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. EA Sports Fight Night 2004 will feature an all-new "Total Punch Control" system that's designed to allow players to punch, block, and bob and weave with fluidity and precision. The game will also include a create-a-player option, a career mode, and online play via the EA Sports Nation service.

EA Sports Fight Night 2004 is currently scheduled for release in spring 2004, and Light Heavyweight Champion of the World Roy Jones Jr. will be the cover athlete and spokesman for the game. "Being selected as an EA Sports cover athlete is one of the greatest honors in sports today, and I'm thrilled to be on the cover of EA Sports Fight Night 2004," said Jones.
