Eidos Interactive announced on Monday that it will join forces with Disney Interactive for three video games for console and handheld systems based on Disney licenses. The games will be created by Eidos' internal Crystal Dynamics studio.

The first game announced is Walt Disney World Racing, which will debut this spring for the PlayStation, Game Boy Color, and Dreamcast. Then, in fall of 2000, the company will release its second title, based on the upcoming movie 102 Dalmatians. The platforms already mentioned for this game are the PlayStation, Dreamcast, and Game Boy Color. A third title will follow at a later point, but no specifics have been mentioned yet.

"With this collaboration, Eidos is reaching out to a broader mass-market audience that is established on the PlayStation and Game Boy, as well as delivering proven brand-name titles to the exciting new Sega Dreamcast platform," said Mike McGarvey, COO of Eidos Interactive. "Given Disney's cache with families and Eidos' reputation as a premiere developer and publisher of best-selling games, we believe this alliance will result in top-quality products that both kids and parents will clamor for."
