Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test Codes Are Being Scalped On eBay
The codes haven't been given out yet.
The Elden Ring Nightreign network test begins later this month and people are already starting to scalp codes.
Participants of the network test haven't gotten their codes yet, but that's not stopping them from listing their future codes on eBay. As proof of having access to the network test, scalpers are using providing confirmation screenshots that they've been selected as a participant. The price range varies from $5 all the way to $300, although it doesn't look as if any have been sold.
The network test information page states that it's prohibited to transfer, purchase, sell, or lend the codes to others. If someone is discovered to doing so, then their eligibility will be voided.
The Elden Ring Nightreign network test will run from February 14 to 17 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Participants will play a portion of the game, and various online systems will be inspected by carrying out large-scale network load tests.
Elden Ring Nightreign is a co-op multiplayer game where players must survive three day and night cycles. Up to three players can join a single session, and they can find loot and other items to power themselves up to fight back against increasingly powerful foes, including ones from the Dark Souls series. Unfortunately, the game will not feature cross-play, meaning that players from different platforms will not be able to play with each other. However, those from the same console family, like PS4 and PS5, can play together.
This isn't the only thing being scalped this week. Some participants have been trying to sell their non-transferable Nintendo Switch 2 Experience tickets for exorbitant prices.
