Elden Ring Nightreign Wylder Class Guide

How to use the Wylder class and what it has to offer for expeditions.

Comments

Elden Ring Nightreign is a complex multiplayer game, but the Wylder class provides some comfort as the ideal starting character. A jack-of-all-trades nature meets a fairly straightforward set of abilities to master, which is great, since you'll have plenty to learn during the first few dozen expeditions to Limveld.

There are multiple characters to pick, and it can't be hard to decide on one in the heat of matchmaking, especially if somebody else calls dibs on your favorite. As such, being knowledgeable of the strengths and weaknesses of each will be beneficial in the short to long run. This guide covers everything you need to know about the Wylder class in Elden Ring Nightreign, from its attributes and abilities to the best relics. How the Wylder class works in Elden Ring Nightreign

In Elden Ring Nightreign, the Wylder class' attributes are fairly balanced. He excels in HP and strength, and has decent dexterity and stamina. As such, he can use almost any melee weapon without faltering, with a preference for greatswords, and can also make use of bows and crossbows thanks to the dexterity stat.

The Wylder class has a passive ability, a character skill, and an Ultimate Art, which you can find below:

Passive Ability: Sixth Sense

Sixth Sense allows Wylder to survive an otherwise fatal attack, getting up on his feet almost instantly with a swift animation. The ability is used automatically, and it can be restored after being revived from near-death by a teammate or by passing through a Site of Grace.

Character Skill: Claw Shot

Claw Shot grants Wylder a grappling claw to reel weak enemies in, damaging anyone in the rope's trajectory, or to move swiftly toward a big foe. It's also effective at breaking an enemy's guard.

Ultimate Art: Onslaught Stake

Onslaught Stake is a powerful attack that causes an explosion on impact. So powerful, in fact, that the recoil causes Wylder to reel back, which preserves a portion of the Ultimate Art gauge. Alternatively, you can hold the ability button to boost the impact and remain standing.

Both active abilities are great for closing in on enemies, dealing damage, and then swiftly moving away to reposition yourself. The presence of Sixth Sense actually encourages this aggressiveness by providing a freebie second wind. It might not be the most complex class in Elden Ring Nightreign, but the simplicity is part of the charm, especially when you're still learning the ropes.

Best relics for Wylder

The random nature of finding relics makes it difficult to recommend a catch-all combination, especially since experimentation is part of the mechanic's charm. That being said, there are a few options that can work well with the Wylder class:

Polished Burning Scene

A few good traits to keep an eye out for are stamina recovery with each successful attack, flask also heals allies, and anything that increases strength. We also found a Grand Burning Scene that reduces character skill cooldown, which fits the class well due to how it rewards playing aggressively.

Night of the Baron

If you want to try and pursue a build that focuses on dealing critical hits, this relic is a must. It improves critical hits, the Ultimate Art gauge fills moderately upon landing one, and doing so also boosts stamina recovery speed.

In short, gems that further increase strength, HP, and stamina will be a great fit for the Wylder class.
