Alliance is looking for their first win, while Team Roccat and Gambit Gaming will try to put the pressure on the leaders of the rankings, Fnatic - all of that and more in Day 2 of the second week of EU LCS.

Millenium vs Alliance

Both teams had a lot to think about after Super Week. Alliance completely failed to fulfil people’s expectations about “the super team” and while Millenium secured their first win in the opening day by beating SK Gaming, they couldn’t reproduce that result in the rest of their three games. Froggen and company have probably spent the last 5 days trying to figure out how to click as a team and turn the tides in their favour. Millenium, however, maybe didn’t have that luxury since Araneae had to return to Spain in order to take his university exams. Both teams will want the win badly but unless they have massively improved over the weekend, the victor might as well be the one who simply does less mistakes.

Roccat vs Supa Hot Crew

Roccat had a great first week, winning three games and many new fans, and proving that the 3-0 against NiP in the Promotion tournament wasn’t just a fluke. Now their task is to continue doing well and not be the new MYM by dropping the ball after a week of good results. That, however, seems unlikely - you can rest assured that they have other crazy and unexpected team comps to pull out besides the “Malphteon”. If they choose to hide them for a little longer though, they can also rely on Overpow’s prowess in the mid lane and Jankos’ undeniable strengths in the jungle. SHC, on the other hand, didn’t have the best of starts but they didn’t have any time to prepare for Super Week either. Given the fact that now they managed to train and figure out specific strategies for their opponents, they might give Roccat a hard time, especially if MrRallez gets going as in the game against Alliance (10/0/7 on Lucian).

Copenhagen Wolves vs Millenium

Copenhagen Wolves had a good start in the LCS and are probably relieved that there’s no way they will go 0-9 like the previous lineup that went by that name. There are still things to work on though - they allowed a baron steal that cost them the game vs SK and that should not happen again. The loss against Gambit also showed that the Wolves should be more careful with their picks if they want to get to the top European level. With a proper game plan and if Millenium are still plagued by the same issues as during Super Week, Wolves have a good shot at taking them down.

Gambit Gaming vs SK Gaming

As we have seen many times before, despite their loss in the opening game Gambit swiftly recovered and won the remaining three matches during Super Week. They had a bit of trouble against Supa Hot Crew, but the massive experience was on their side and they managed to stall the game until they found a favourable fight and took control over the map. The same might very well happen once again when they face SK Gaming. While 4 out of 5 of SK’s members are also veteran players, the lineup is still new. One thing that may work in their favour is nRated’s shotcalling in the later stages of the game. The synergy between him and Candy Panda will be crucial when going up against such a formidable duo like Genja and Edward. What’s more, Svenskeren will have the hard task to contain Diamond from reigning over the map. Expect Lee Sin to be a contested pick as both junglers have a strong affinity towards him.
