EverQuest heads to Europe
This winter, Sony Online and Ubi Soft will launch the first European servers for the popular online role-playing game.
Sony Online Entertainment and Ubi Soft Entertainment have announced that they will launch new EverQuest servers in Europe this winter. The new servers will give European players better access to the popular online role-playing game, which was originally launched in 1999 and now claims more than 400,000 subscribers worldwide. Since the game's launch, Sony Online has expanded the gameworld with two retail expansion packs, EverQuest: The Ruins of Kunark and EverQuest: The Scars of Velious, as well as several free expansions. A third expansion pack, EverQuest: The Shadows of Luclin, is now in development at Verant, the company that created the original game.
