A new Evil Dead game is on the way--get a first look here.
A new Evil Dead game starring Bruce Campbell is on the way from Saber Interactive. Evil Dead: The Game was announced at The Game Awards 2020 with a special trailer teasing some of the action and horror players can expect. Check it out below.
Campbell's character Ash narrates the trailer, touching on iconic lines and topics from the Evil Dead movies--including the Book of the Dead and Ash's girlfriend Linda. The trailer also shows a few characters, including a medieval knight and young Ash himself.
Evil Dead: The Game is scheduled to release in 2021 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, as well as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The announcement of the game is not a total surprise, however, as Campbell has been openly talking about a new Evil Dead game for a long time now. In an interview with Diabolique Magazine, Campbell said, "It got delayed because of the nightmare of video games. Platforms change and evolve. You look at somebody else’s games and go, “Shit! We have to change everything now.” We have to stay current."
