Jack, who goes by the self-imposed nickname "The Jackal," dual-wields pistols, has a hacked Survey Satellite to track and trap monsters, and can use Repulsor gloves to stop beasts.
Murder Pits is the free new map and features "a giant pit-fighting stadium designed exclusively for Arena Mode" and features different arenas that present a "unique challenge to players."
Publisher 2K has detailed each of these challenges in a press release, take a look at them below.
- ‘Jail’ houses dangerous wildlife, freed by doors that open randomly;
- ‘Outhouse’ is a straightforward arena encouraging players to control the high ground;
- ‘Quarry’ carves out a tall, narrow environment stacked with rooms;
- ‘Saloon’ features a series of rooms surrounding a deadly Tyrant pool;
- ‘Laughter House’ contains two chambers separated by a wall that can only be opened by the Monster player.
Turtle Rock Studios has also released Hunt 2.0, an Evolve update that provides "significant improvements to the Hunt mode user experience with improved matchmaking, revamped leaderboards, and more."
Evolve launched in February 2015 and has sold more than 2.5 million copies. Parent publisher Take-Two has referred to the franchise as "permanent," and teased that a sequel might not be so multiplayer-centric.
