EyeToy: Play sells a million
SCEE announces that it has sold over a million copies of EyeToy: Play since its European launch earlier this year.
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has today announced that it has sold over a million copies of EyeToy: Play since it launched in July. Developed internally at SCEE's London Studio, EyeToy: Play is a collection of minigames that are played using a USB camera that sits atop the television.
Following its success in Europe, EyeToy: Play is currently scheduled for release in North America on November 4 and in Japan on January 28. November will also see the European release of SCEE's second EyeToy-compatible product, a dancing game entitled EyeToy: Groove that challenges players to move in time with 25 licensed music tracks from the likes of Madonna, Elvis, Fatboy Slim, and Misteeq.
