Fallout 4 Dev Has "Lots of Ideas" for Future Games
"We have lots of ideas."
While Fallout 4 developer Bethesda Game Studios continues to work on updates and expansions for that game, eventually a time will come when the company moves on to its next full project. What that title is remains to be seen, but now game director Todd Howard has teased the team has "lot of ideas."

In an interview with Wired, Howard was asked if he would ever work on something "small" by comparison to the likes of Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Don't expect that to happen.
"The timing of your question, because we just wrapped up Fallout 4, I definitely need a break," he said. "But that's normal. And after that, I just see so many things that we could do. I like to make big games, the team likes to make big games. We have lots of ideas. We plan on taking a break and coming back and finding out where those ideas take us."
“But no--we definitely don't plan on making small things," he added.
The full Wired interview is a good read with lots of interesting insight into Howard's career at Bethesda. Did you know Howard knocked on Bethesda's door and asked for a job as a college student? Read the complete Wired interview for more.
Bethesda hasn't moved on from Fallout 4 yet, of course. The team is working on the game's multiple expansions, the first of which arrive in 2016. If history is any indication, it may be quite a while before Bethesda officially moves on to what's next.
Skyrim shipped in November 2011, but Bethesda didn't fully move on to its next game (which we now know was Fallout 4) until April 2013.
