Geralt may not be slaying monsters in Fallout 4's Bostonian post-apocalypse, but that doesn't mean you can't. Thanks to a new mod, you can now use gear from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in the Commonwealth.
The mod, Geralt's Prologue Gears, was created by Nexus Mods user Renn and includes crossbows, Geralt's starting outfit, and a wolf mask (via VG247). You can take a look at the gear in the video above, which also shows off the crossbows in action.
The crossbows sound and reload like pistols. However, they aren't restricted to using pistol ammo exclusively, as rifle ammo will also work.
If you're wondering why the mod looks so similar to The Witcher 3, developer CD Projekt Red gave the modder permission to use the original models and textures from their game.
In related news, a mod that adds Metal Gear Solid V characters to Fallout 4 was recently released.
