Fallout: London Mod Trailer Reveals 2023 Release Date And Scorched Landmarks

London calling.

Fallout: London has narrowed its release window down to 2023, with the announcement coming in a new trailer that showed off more of the mod and its British post-apocalypse. A Fallout 4 mod, Fallout: London is an ambitious fan project that its development team says allows for non-US cultures to be explored and to see what impact the Resource Wars had on Britain and its class-structured society.

The project also boasts some big-name voice actors in the form of Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy, who played the Sixth and Seventh Doctors respectively in the long-running sci-fi series Doctor Who. Both actors have reprised those roles in numerous Doctor Who audio adventures produced by Big Finish, giving them plenty of voice acting experience over the years.

Fallout: London is set 50 years before the events of Fallout 4 and is aiming to create a grittier experience that emphasizes the use of melee weapons over firearms. You can see more of what Fallout: London has to offer in the video below, which shows off surviving British landmarks such as Big Ben and the Tower of the London.

Bethesda's Todd Howard recently confirmed that the studio plans to work on Fallout 5 once The Elder Scrolls VI has been completed, which will be worked on after Starfield arrives in 2023. Fallout fans can try Fallout 76 until then, with that game's next expansion, The Pitt, launching in September.

I’ll add this to the list of ambitious mods that will never get finished like “Skyblivion” and “Fallout: Miami”

I can’t believe how pathetic a lot of people are on this site that they have got so upset over the fact this was a mod and the header didn’t originally state it, even though the first paragraph did, people need to get a life

@rodoxthedark: Yeah you say that, and yet you're still here insulting people who had no interest in talking to you in the first place.
Mr. Getalife here has come back to comment the same thing on the same article 4 times now.

Australia has a good landscape for a fallout title.

click bait maybe the title should say it's a mod instead of making people think this was about a new fallout game then turns out to be crap about a mod

@dragoonmike: I suppose you need to ask yourself was the headline really worth getting upset about though. With the current state of the world I’d say there’s much much worse things to worry about than the word mod being absent on a fallout article

@rodoxthedark: The world has got to where it is, because of every time someone twisted the truth, just a little, to suit their own ends. Not even lies, just little mistruths, or omitted truths, or exaggerated truths. Millions of times a day around the world.
They accumulated and turned into lies, which require bigger lies to cover up.
That killed trust and lack of trust has decimated global stability.

I honestly don't know if this was an honest mistake or not,
but they've used their journalistic responsibility to twist the truth so many times it hardly even matters any more.

@naryanrobinson: is that satire or are you being serious, if you are I’d say you need to adjust your views on what’s important in the world

@dragoonmike: Exactly. I hadn't heard of this mod. I totally believed it was a new Bethesda title. As will almost everyone who clicks on this article.

Slowly panning environment shots are to fan mod trailers as Inception Horns are to Hollywood blockbuster trailers.

@sippio: As of February this year they've started releasing "episodic" trailers, so things are still progressing but clearly not as quickly as London.

London is much more interesting though since the majority of the game is new content, new lore, and new creatures.

Not sure if we really need any particular focus on melee as opposed to ranged combat, but at least it's nice to see something of how locations outside of the US have been since the war. The world as a whole has always been an unexplored part of Fallout lore.

@wepeel: If you think about it, it never really made sense for ammo to by lying around everywhere. That stuff degrades like everything else and without any mass production the ammo would be consumed WAY faster than it's produced.

@wepeel: In Fallout specifically, I agree. It worked in Dying Light but Fallout's melee combat doesn't even come close to comparing to that.

I imagine as a mod though it would be very easy to give yourself a gun and ammo with console commands.
