Far Cry 3 delayed

Hopefully we don't end up with another broken turd like Far Cry 2. Some of the gameplay mechanics were awesome - setting fires in a jungle? YES PLEASE! - but there were so many bad design decisions: the 'silent' machete that alerted every goddamn soldier in the base, the sniper rifle that - at point blank range - went completely unheard by enemies, the always-almost-completely-broken weapons that could fire three shots before breaking (seriously?), and goddamn Malaria Vision TM.

all i hope is its not clunky like 2, i mean driving wasnt comfortable, shooting down sight felt weird, and this is coming from someone who plays simulators, thats not what this is, so they should make movement feel natural, battlefields movement system would best suit this imo

I'm not hating on the game or the Devs, but it confuses me on how the say they need more time to work on the game, yet they only delayed it in the United States.

So any word on a beta?

YES! Take your time! Make the game right, and we Gamers will make you rich. I expect Ubisoft to announce another delay going into summer of next year as well. Dec 4 is a bad time of year to release a game. November is the cut off month until earliest Q2 (april-June) on the all the best game titles, but we'll be eagerly awaiting the updates.

I hope they take all the time they need to not repeat the Ghost Recon disaster

It's always sad to see games rushed out by the big publishers, filled with bugs and plot holes. As bad as Ubisoft's been with DRM in the past, they're definitely one of the best when it comes to giving the devs the time they need to do their magic.

That's awesome because it was releaseing too close to Borderlands 2. Plus, I appreciate them trying to make the game as good as possible, and not rushing it out at 99%.

i think that this is good that it got delayed until December because then i can just get it for Christmas instead of spending my own money on it.

If that's what it takes to make a great game then so be it. It's looking like a day 1 buy for me.

3 months, no biggie. They should take their time, and perfect the game and work out all the bugs and not rush and release games like other developers

Ubisoft pushing back a game, shocker!!. Must say i think they are worst gaming company at setting a date and never sticking to it. Only ever trust Ubisoft release dates when shops actually recieve their copies.

after they saw the last of us on E3.... they think it's time to buff up their game

ohh what a surprise... they give a release date and start the preorder and then postponed it... oh wait, i heard of these delays happening before, like for almost all the games....

All i can say is they better not have a zero day patch!

My September has just gotten very boring really fast.

wow. I just woke up to this. Pretty bummed. I live in America too, so I'll be the last guy to play my favorite game, on a month where I do nothing but work all day and do finals. Thanks a lot.

Ubisoft is milking that Just Dance franchise to death. They're gonna send it down the same path as the Guitar Hero and Rock Band franchises.

At least it wasn't bumped back to next year. However, I would think it would be in Ubisofts best interests for to get it out BEFORE Black Ops 2.

I hope they take this time into making the game damn near flawless.

I am hesitantly looking forward to this game anyway, it LOOKS great, but FC2 did as well. I simply don't trust Ubisoft to do this franchise justice after #2. However I really WANT them to do this well, as I really miss the setting of the first Far Cry (Crytek).

Along with that polish - please include the ability for my XBOX 360 saved games to not become corrupted. I will be waiting for at least a month after launch before getting this due to the broken game saves on the last Far Cry.

Whatever Ubisoft. Just make sure that when you finally do release this game that it is as revolutionary as you say it will be.

dam, i was looked foward to extending my labor day weekend with this game, smh, oh well, I guess I got something to look foward to this holiday season. but i am disappointed no the less, but now theres pressure on you guys to deliver a great game along with the anticipation. now you get and extra 2 and half months before you ship your copies of your "polished game" Game rating wise if this game is a 8.5 or less, we'll look at ubi, as like what was the delay for, pushing back till the end of the year, should have this game at 9, but we'll see in 6 months
