F.E.A.R. gets a date with PS3

I just bought FEAR yesterday for my PS3. My first suggestion is DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. If you have a good PC buy it for the PC. It lags big time on PS3 and the graphic are not good. The controls are clumsy. There is nothing really new about the game. Go get FEAR and the expansion for PC....

@spelledarn "It would be really cool if PS3 and X360 owners could play against one another. ^_^" That would be cool indeed. Pity Sony and Microsoft will never let that happen. Best we can hope for is that you can play against PC users (PS3 vs PC and/or 360 vs PC). Precident? Quake III for the Dreamcast. Also, Shadowrun and Live for Windows makes me even more hopeful. The tech is there...

Some will say they won't get it due to the multi player stuff, but down the line they will.

this game looks good, and im excited to play it on ps3, but sony might wanna focus effort on amazing exclusives

Ok lemme set the record straight. I only have the PS3. But, you have to be a fool to pay $60 dollars for A PS3 VIDEO GAME THAT HAS 16 PLAYERS ONNLINE. Thats just down right sorry in my eyes. We all know after the story mode is one and done we go right to the online competition. What fun is an 8 on 8 game with a next generation system. FEAR Looks good but after i checked the amount of players I had a change of heart. Same thing goes for Rainbow Six Las Vegas. Not alot of players onlne. What goin on here? I think its like what 16 or 24 players online. Point blank, Garbage. If a TPS or FPS is not 32 or more players online at this time than the game is not worh it. The only exception would have to be MGS as far as im concerned. Subsistence was great with ONLY 8 players. But for the time being I'll stick to SOCOM: CA and Resistance. Once again great games created with little potential. Where's the love. PS3 owners just wait for Battlefield: Bad Company to hit the PS3. 64 players online. It dont get no better. $60 when the multiplayer was a *free* download on the PC? Nice. This game released on the 360 and no one really cared because of GRAW and GeoW. Are people excited because the PS3 only has Resistance? I don't know. I think the only people who will be interested are PS3 fans who only own the PS3.

No big deal, from what I've seen and heard about F.E.A.R., it disappointed many.

"I hope its good" It is good - and has been for 2 years. Why not do FEAR 2 instead of rehashing old licenses. And multiplatform from day 1 please - we're sick of all these staggered releases, all it does is rile up the fanboys.

You do realize that this game was PC game first, so maybe if you said PC gamers didn't petition... etc. Regardless Xbox fans are saying that it's lame that PS3 is getting 2 year old games which is just as lame because if they 'cared' so much about developers as you say they would be happy, Xbox fans and PS3 fans are the same types of people, they just like different things.

i really loved fear on the PC and i'm hoping this is just as good. I really need a new shooter on PS3... lol.

If you haven't played FEAR then this is your extra chance. Otherwise This Ship's sailed and i'm not sure why anybody would wait for a 2 year old 'new release'? i mean would you pay the same price for a 2 year old car at new car prices?

I played it 2 years ago and loved it. Why are they still working on this and not making a new great game ?

I LOVED F.E.A.R., it was spooky, but it's definitively one of thos games you DON'T want to play with a gamepad... plus I'm sorry, but this title just doesn't feel right at all on the PS3. Exclusive content or not, it doesn't make sense. I hope they at least make 1$ profit.

I really didn't like F.E.A.R, especially the storyline.

DrKill09 I wonder if this one will include blood and gore, unlike the 360 version? there is gore in 360 version. the 360 version felt kinda old when played. i wonder if the game can still be great this far down the road. The graphics are slightly dumbed down again(no im not being a fanboy im telling the truth. IGN said it and vivendi said it in an interview). plus there is no 1080p support and the pc version had it for the game when it came out 2 years ago. It will still look like a good game. Its just since its such an old engine and since the game looks slightly uglier than both the pc and 360 version, and sicne the ps3 is supposed to be more powerful than the 360, the reviews will therfore give it a lower score. And then all the fanboys will talk about how gamespot and ign are payed by microsoft and how they gave it a lower score than the 360 version. Taking an old all star lineup isn't going to help the ps3 that much

I owned Fear on the PC and played most settings in high, and well it is a great game, so people with PS3's yet to experience F.E.A.R will have a great time. However if you get scared a lot by these games, then you should play it in the dark.

Sweet! Sounds great to me :) Any idea if the extra stuff will be made available for 360 owners on Live for either free or a small fee? How about PC owners? Anyhow - all you PS3 guys - enjoy this great game :D

Or wait till October when the PS3 may drop $100. Either way I agree with GameWiz47 the PS3 is well worth the buy. WTF is everyone's problem with the PS3? Expensive? Well, look, its got a decent price tag compared to teh 360, cause the specs and techs in it can equal at most $2000, $1000 for Blu-Ray alone, and giving that at about 1/4 of the price is very sacrificing. And with its hardcore tech, FEAR on PS3 will most likely get the same scores as its PC and X360 counterparts in not better.

F.E.A.R is a game that everyone, not only FPS fans should try. PS3 owner will have the same fun too

pc got thsi like 2 years ago. it was awesome 360 got it about a year ago it was great ps3 gets it now.....ugh.

If they do a decent port it'll add a decent game to the PS3 range and boy do they need some. Some of the ports in the launch games are apparentley absolute shockers, Call of Duty, Enchanted Arms and many other incorporating new features such as slow down, jagged edges and clipping.

I love fps's, i love or hate them all, F.E.A.R completly went over my head, i just didnt get it, slow moving supernatural shooter no thanks. does the story above seem like it was written by a kid to anyone else?

--To me the demo was so weak I wont buy it. Of course I am no big fan of FPS.

Better late than never I suppose; I might check this game out after I have read some reviews.

if i had a high end pc, i wouldnt wait a year to play this game for "one new level, and now new weapon) but i dont have a pc, and ive been dying to play this game since i first heard about it, so im definatly getting this when it comes out

This game does not interest me in the slightest. I need a better reason than this to move onto next-gen.
