Final Baywatch Red Band Trailer Before Release Is Rude And Ridiculous
"Things could've gone a lot worse."
The Fate of the Furious is still making big money in theaters, but the ever-busy Dwayne Johnson has yet another movie about to hit screens. Baywatch is the reboot of the popular '90s TV show, and the final red band trailer has landed. Check it out below:
This trailer follows one released in March, while you can check out earlier promos here and here.
Baywatch also stars Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, and Priyanka Chopra and is directed by Horrible Bosses' Seth Gordon.
In a recent interview with EW, Gordon spoke about the way the new movie would reference the show."The history of the show is to showcase beauty," he said. "There's a beat where one of the characters sees someone running and asks, 'Is she running in slo-mo? And why is she wet but not that wet?' Stuff like that shows that we are in on the joke."
The original Baywatch ran from 1989 to 1999, with a subsequent show, Baywatch Hawaii, airing until 2001. The main show was a huge international hit, and had clocked up a total of 242 episodes by the time it was cancelled.
Baywatch hits theaters on May 19.
