Final Fantasy 15's Retro-Themed Beat-Em-Up Will Be Free For Everyone Soon
A King's Tale launches on March 1 for everyone.
A King's Tale: Final Fantasy XV, a retro-inspired beat-em-up spinoff, will be free for everyone to download on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One starting on March 1, according to DualShockers.
The game was one of the many preorder-exclusive bonuses that Square Enix offered for Final Fantasy. People who preordered that game at GameStop and EB Games received a free copy of A King's Tale.
A King's Tale takes place in an alternate version of 30 years before the events of Final Fantasy XV. As you can see in the image above, the game has a retro look to it, while the combat is described as "fast-paced" and being influenced by "modern gaming."
We'll report back on March 1 with download links for A King's Tale on PS4 and Xbox One. The game will be free for everyone, not just people who bought Final Fantasy XV.
In other news about Final Fantasy XV, a new PS4 Pro patch came out this week, but it has been criticized for potentially making the game look worse.
