Final Fantasy Composer Nobuo Uematsu Lending Talents to Upcoming Akane Album

Album will feature original and classic tracks from Panzer Dragoon and Suikoden musicians.

Brave Wave Productions and music ensemble Akane today announced its upcoming album, Journey. Akane is comprised of well-known video game composers Saori Kobayashi (Panzer Dragoon) and Yumiko Takahashi (Suikoden), and the album will feature a guest appearance by beloved Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu.

Journey is available to preorder now on Brave Wave's online store, and will be available on iTunes and Spotify on September 29th. The exclusive track embedded above, "Machi," features Uematsu. The album is to include original compositions, music inspired by games like Panzer Dragoon, and tracks featured in 2013's Crimson Dragon.

Nobuo Uematsu.is one of thee best composers for video games, sometimes i play all of the final fantasy games over and over again just to hear his music.

The thing I feel these past few Final Fantasy titles were missing is Nubuo Uematsu. I know it's not going to happen for XV (don't get me wrong... the composer for XV is a pretty good choice), but I really hope Square Enix gets him to compose the music for XVI.

I used to beg my older cousin to let me play Panzer Dragoon but he and his mom were quite the elitists... The sum of my experience on the Sega Saturn must be something like 10 mins of Panzer Dragoon n 20 mins of Virtua Fighter.
