Final Fantasy Creator Wants To Bring Fantasian To Other Platforms

Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi said that he wants to bring Fantasian to PC and also wants to create a sequel. The game is only available on Apple Arcade at the moment.

According to IGN Japan, Sakaguchi was at the game and anime festival, MAGIC 2023, on a panel where he reflected on his career. "There are many requests for a PC release, and there are also requests for a sequel, so I would like to continue working as hard as possible," Sakaguchi explained.

Fantasian was first released in 2021 and has been highly rated as one of the best games from the Apple Arcade catalog. The game fully utilizes the iPhone's touch controls by allowing players to aim and adjust the trajectory of attacks and skills during battle. Along with being written by Sakaguchi, Final Fantasy veteran Nobuo Uematsu composed Fantasian's music.
