Final Fantasy Legend Collection Announced For Switch
Collection of SaGa, a compilation of the first three Final Fantasy Legend games, is coming to Switch later this year.
Nintendo spotlighted a variety of third-party Switch games in its surprise Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, including a handful of titles from Square Enix. The RPG giant is bringing three of its classic Game Boy RPGs to Nintendo's hybrid console later this year as Collection of SaGa: Final Fantasy Legend.
Collection of SaGa compiles all three original SaGa games--which were released in the West on the original Game Boy as Final Fantasy Legend, Final Fantasy Legend II, and Final Fantasy Legend III--in one package. The collection includes some new features such as a high-speed mode, and it can be played with the system held vertically to replicate the original Game Boy experience.
To commemorate the SaGa series' 30th anniversary, Collection of SaGa also includes a special anniversary song. You can take a look at some screenshots of the compilation above.
Collection of SaGa: Final Fantasy Legend launches in the Nintendo Switch eShop on December 15. You are able to pre-purchase the game from the digital storefront right now.
We got a look at a few other upcoming titles in the surprise Nintendo Direct. The Kingdom Hearts spin-off, Melody of Memories, is launching on Switch and other platforms November 13. Nintendo also revealed that Jump Force: Deluxe Edition is coming to Switch this week, on August 28, while Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 will launch December 8. You can catch up on all the announcements in our Nintendo Direct recap.
