Fire Emblem Warriors Announced for Nintendo Switch
But it doesn't have a release date yet.
Update: Nintendo has since said it will host a Nintendo Direct devoted to the game on January 18 at 2 PM PT, so expect to learn more then. It's called a "Fire Emblem Nintendo Direct," which leaves the door open for Nintendo to also talk about its upcoming Fire Emblem mobile game. We'll know for sure next week.
Original Story: A new Hyrule Warriors-esque Fire Emblem game is in the works for Switch, Nintendo has revealed.
During its Switch livestream presentation, Nintendo rolled a teaser for the game, which is called Fire Emblem Warriors. It's in development at Koei Tecmo, the same developer responsible for Hyrule Warriors.
As with several other games, including the new Shin Megami Tensei, there wasn't any gameplay to be seen. A number of weapons are shown, as is the Shield of Seals. It wraps up with a look at a sword and the body of a character whose face isn't shown. You can watch the video above.
No release date for the game was announced. You can see all the confirmed Switch games here.
