First Female CPL Tourney

The Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL) and Telefragged, a Quake-focused web site, have announced that there will be a competition exclusively for female players of Quake III at the Frag 4 tournament this September. The competition has 24 openings for female game players over the age of 15. Already signed up for the event are two well-known female players, Kornelia Takacs and Stevie "KillCreek" Case. This will be the CPL's first event that offers a cash purse only for female players. A total of US$5000 in prize money will be divided between the top six finishers.
