First Jumanji 2 Photo Looks Almost Completely Different

[UPDATE] The Rock posted the same picture on Instagram today, but in higher quality. He added some additional commentary, too. Regarding Karen Gillan's clothing, he said, "Her jungle wardrobe will make sense when you know the plot. Trust me ;)"
He added: "Hard workin' and FUN first day of shooting in the jungle with this talented and crazy motley crew. Jack is brilliant, Karen is bad assery, Kevin is sharply hilarious, and I smell good. Extremely hard trying to keep a straight face in these scenes. Too funny. We're makin' a good one. More to come.."

Actor Kevin Hart has shared the first set photo from the new Jumanji. Fans of the first film will immediately notice how different it looks than the 1995 original.
In the picture we see stars Hart, Karen Gillan, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and Jack Black (whose look reminds us of King Kong). Nick Jonas will also be in the movie, but he's not shown here. The picture was snapped on the first day of filming in Hawaii, which Hart said went well.
"We had a amazing first day. The chemistry & energy of our cast & crew was beyond amazing!!!! This movie is going to be dope as hell....Can't wait to get back to work tomorrow," he said in his Instagram caption.
It was presumed that the new Jumanji would be a reboot of the '90s adventure fantasy. However, Johnson subsequently revealed that the film would in fact be a "continuation." Last month, he released concept art of his character, the rugged adventurer Dr. Bravestone.
Jake Kasdan, the son of legendary Star Wars writer Lawrence Kasdan, is directing, and the film opens on July 28, 2017.
The original 1995 Jumanji starred Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst, and Bonnie Hunt. Williams' character became stuck in a board game as young boy before being set free (along with other creatures and characters) in the modern day. Lots of craziness ensues, including elephants charging down main street.
The movie ended with the Jumanji board game still existing, setting up a potential sequel. It remains to be seen, however, what the story will be for the sequel.
