First Look: Ace Combat 4

GameSpot has further details on Namco's tentatively titled Ace Combat 4 for the Sony PlayStation 2. Using the console's power, the game's environments will have a direct effect on the gameplay. The bright setting sun can reduce visibility, and there are facilities hidden in the snow regions that can only be spotted when the sunlight reflects off of them. Included in the game's roster of airplanes are the F22 Raptor, the Mirage 2000, and the highly maneuverable Rafale.

Ace Combat 4 will be available on the DVD-ROM format and will be released on the Japanese PlayStation 2 in the summer of 2001. A US release date has not been announced at this time.
