Acclaim dropped by the videogames.com offices today and gave us a demonstration of the latest installment in the All-Star Baseball series for the Nintendo 64. A different Acclaim team handled this year's version to give the game a fresh face and to let the original team focus on some next-generation baseball-game stuff. Using the same engine as that of the previous title, the team has put together a more refined version of All-Star Baseball, with better AI, some new motion capture, and more.

One of the highlights of this year's All-Star is the addition of the Cooperstown Legends team, which features 25 of the all-time best players, including Reggie Jackson and Nolan Ryan.

All-Star Baseball 2001 for the Nintendo 64 is slated to release in April. Stay tuned for a full preview shortly.
