First Look: Commandos 2 PS2

Commandos was one of the best-selling games on the PC when it was released. The sequel is being produced by the developer Pyro Studios for both the PC and consoles. GameSpot received first screenshots from the PlayStation 2 version of the game today.

In Commandos 2, the player commands a squad of specialists in WWII-style environments. It's the player's job to complete the missions successfully by utilizing each team member's abilities wisely. Little is known about PS2-specific gameplay changes, so we'll have to wait for those details to emerge.

Besides the PC and PS2 version, there's also a Dreamcast version in development. However, company sources indicate that the DC version might be dropped in favor of an Xbox version. We'll keep you updated as new information emerges.
