First Look: DC Nightmare Creatures 2
Want to see a great-looking Dreamcast version of NC2 in action? We've got you covered with new shots.
Kalisto has given us a sneak peek at the Dreamcast version of Nightmare Creatures 2, and from what we've seen so far, this may be a title to keep an eye out for. While the PlayStation version looks incredibly good, the Dreamcast version displays everything in a much cleaner fashion. It employs a higher resolution, higher polygon count, better textures, and a steady 60fps.
As for the game itself, Nightmare Creatures 2 is a complete departure from the original. This time around the game plays much like a Tomb Raider title, and it keeps a steady flow of action. The one thing it does retain from the first game is its dark mood - but this time it just comes off much better. While watching NC2 being played, I made the comment to one of the producers that if David Fincher (Seven, Fight Club) were to create a game, this would be it. It's dark, it's gory, and it's loaded with surprise.
We'll deliver a full preview on the Dreamcast version of Nightmare Creatures 2 soon. For now, though, check out our first screens and video of the game in action. Nightmare Creatures 2 is slated for a March 28 release on the PlayStation and Dreamcast.
